When installing pipping in a house there are options about what type of copper pipes to use. Copper pipping is used most often by two professions. A plumber or an air condition tech may use this type of pipping for the job that they are working on. Each person will use the copper pipping differently. There are two types of copper pipes: flexible or rigid. Usually the rigid pipping is used in newer made houses and it will look neater and give a more professional work.

What could flexible copper pipes be used for in a house? Why are flexible copper pipes used more for repairs then the rigid copper pipes?

Flexible copper pipe can be used when there needs to be a repair done to the original copper pipes that are usually rigid. If a repair man was to use a rigid pipe to make the repair then there would be a lot of cutting the pipe as it wouldn't be in the shape that is needed. It would also be hard as rigid pipping comes in shapes and might not fit into the area that is needed. When making repairs there are a lot of working around existing pipes and wiring. With a flexible copper pipe there doesn't need to be connectors or any cutting, instead it can be fit into the area and spot that needs the repair. This cuts back on the amount of clean up as there doesn't need to be drilling through sections of the walls and cutting around areas to fit in the proper size of the pipping.

Flexible copper pipes cut back on a lot of time. It makes it easier to slip in the pipes to the spot that needs repairs. By being able to work around housing obstacles it cuts the amount of time in half due to the fact that there needs to be no measuring or cutting of the pipe. Although it won't match the existing copper pipe exactly it will help with the repairs and get the area that is having problems back and running in no time.
